J.T. Lane was sentenced to life on Tuesday. In Ohio on February of 2012, he went on a school shooting rampage, killing thee students and wounding three others. On February he plead guilty to the charges brought against him and at the time he was tried as an adult but because he was 17 he was not eligible for the death penalty. On Tuesday he showed up in a light blue button up, and then later shed the button up, revealing a white t-shirt that had "killer" scrawled on the front. The judge in the case said, "He lacked remorse and examinations showed he has feigned mental illness. A bright student set to graduate from high school early, Lane instead planned, prepared for, and then executed the attack." The judge also commented that thee court had not noticed the shirt he was wearing and if he had, the proceedings would have stopped immediately and he would have been forced to put on proper attire. This was one of many incidences that happened in February that has sparked up a proposal for a ban on military style assault weapons and limits on the capacity of magazines.
